Caverns of Sonora
It is truly alive.
The Caverns of Sonora are a living growing Wonderland of calcite crystal formations created by Mother Nature.
The formations look like Butterflies, coral, icicles, waterfalls, popcorn, wedding cakes, bacon, applesauce, Count Dracula and snake pits.
Small fractures in the growing formations allow the sculpting calcite crystals to form shapes that defy gravity.
The depth of textures create uncountable shades of white which are truly breath taking.
(And that is saying something for this lover of primary colors.)
The magical walk took almost two hour and took us down to 150 feet below the surface.
